If nearly all of the restaurants today opened up shop 45 years ago with their recipes and menu that they have today ..They would have been tar and feathered a run out-of-town immediately.  Each generation knows less and less about good home cooking and what a good restaurant supposed to be.

The Old  Pre WWI Era Grandmothers who came here from Europe having no education and knew nothing but cooking baking and knitting no longer exsits. Jewish people used  to refer to them as the Balabusta (The Perfect Housewife).  Each new generation knows less about cooking as they attend school and nothing of  culinary value is passed down to the next generation.

The restaurants are no different. We’ll give you a classic example of what goes on today..A former retail businessman(dry cleaner) goes to a real estate agent looking for another dry cleaner shop to buy.The agent says”How about an Italian  or Jewish restaurant? The man replies back to the real estate agent “Hey I  don”t know how to cook or I never neither tastes or cooked that particular Ethnic Cuisine”.The Agent relies back”You don’t have to know how to cook that style cooking ..The place currently has a good cook”…Yes he draws a big $alary ..Just watch what he does in the kitchen and in 6 months when you are familiar with the recipes then get rid of him & either hire a lower salaried chef or do the cooking yourself .Many take those real estate agents advice..buy the joint & in just  months the place falls apart as he doesn’t know is ass from his elbow in the kitchen…

Bottom line if you don’t know how to cook or never had great familiarization in a particular Ethic Style….then you no business whatsoever owning a  restaurant.

I always see people dinning eating with the Vim and Vigor along with great Gusto. If they would leave their food on the plate uneaten maybe the owner would say “Hey maybe I need either new recipes or a new chief “….but when the customers clean their plates..they are not going to change.

The fast food eateries are worse not only is the menu way over priced but their ware is substandard.The days of great home cooking and fantastic restaurants have sailed way a long time ago. Sad to say the public doesn’t care one bit.

The Suffering Patient

 Todays Doctors are reluctant and down right refusing ro prescribe pain pills to their suffering patients.The abuse my many unscrupulous Doctors who handed out Scripts like candy has ruined it foreveryone..If they  don’t want to prescribe them then take them off the market.

There is absolutely nothing wrong for a Doctor  to  give a patient  in pain something to  lessen their suffering.We are sure that their hands are being tied by some government oversight agency. People tell us they beg their Doctor to give them a pain  a proscription if only for a 3 day supply…..or put then in the hospital as their in Patient…All this falls on Deaf Ears. We recently was told that when a suffering patient was asked do they drink..their responce was “no but I’m thinking of taking it up”.

Perhaps in order to pick up a pain prescriptions it should be picked up at their local Police Department precinct and not at your local Pharmacy.New guidlines must be drawn up to once again to allow Doctors to prescribe them to  their patients in pain.Why should every patient suffer because of a few irresponsible Doctors ?

      How did all these Marijuana growers  get away with growing their stock before the Law was passed?   Marijuana has  now become available along with all strains of growth in great supply in every state where the laws were changed..

We are talking about hundreds of different varieties instantly available along with brand names and pet names for each strain.How was all this growing  allowed while it was still pending legislation? Keep in mind that it took several months to grow process this crop.They apparenty were in violation of the law right from the get go when they planted the very first seed..

It”s beyond the government looking the other way with wink and a nod. Who and where are these Pot growers from?…  If it was done secretly in basement then the high electric bills from bills from ultra violet lights would have set up a red flag.

However it appears this present for sale stock was either grown in the open in fields and green house in plain view for all to see. It’s all local grown.If by any chance that you’re wondering perhaps it was not grown locally but imported where it didn’t have to pass muster in keeping within the parameters of our laws…The answer is NO it’s all domesticity grown Weed.All though there is grey area if it was shipped in from states where the Laws  effecting Marijuana were passed before.

We are not here to pass judgement on the wisdom  of Smoking Pot or to take a stand siding either with the Pro’s or Con’s of Legalizing Pot..However we remain  baffled as who allowed this occur.

The Marijuana stores almost seem to open up instantly by passing any governmental restrictions such as visits from the Board of Health ,Weights and Measures,U.S.D.A..or Building code Inforcement.Perhaps not in all jurisdictions ..but it ‘s happening in many Municipalities across the country. We are scratching our heads in puzzlement at all his instant Sale of Pot right after any favorable legislation and find it all suspect…What about you?

   Take notice the next time that you dine out..Restaurants look to fool you with Diamond shaped plates and  Speaker or Sea Shell Shaped Soup or Salad Bowls.While we except some sort of  price increase now and then..As far as we are concerned this practice has got to go.What these Eateries are intending to do is give an optical illusion of more food on the plate and in the Bowls when  they bring it over to the table.Guess what Restaurants? It doesn’t work ..You may think that your pulling the wool over your patrons eye’s but your fooling nobody but your self.Yes it looks pretty and modern…However the customer figures it out very quickly as they exit your place as hungry as when they entered.Someone once told me”That you can only screw him once”.As the old expression goes fool me once shame on you..but fool me twice shame on me.For Heaven’s sake just bring back the old plates and Bowls and just raise your prices a bit.

If you want to keep your Restaurant going than this deception must stop.

When the 6 years are up they can pick up and relacate anywhere in the U.S.A. and its territories…if they violate the agreement, very simple….DEPORTATION !. End

     It was only today that someone mentioned to us that they brought their Dog into a Vet fo annual Examination and vaccinations at a cost of  $750 .. That’s beyond outrageous!

If Uncle Sam can give away the store to Every Shmuck and his Brother Jumping Our Border Then Let Him Impelmate This!

The sad reality of the situation is that no poor person or even the average working stiff can afford a Pet with todays skyrocketing costs that Veterinarians charge.

Every  time any Pet owner  takes a trip to the Vet they will pay between $85.& $100 and that’s not including any minor procedures such as nail clipping, shots,bathing,or any thing else that may be done.

It’s high time that the Government gives Medicare or Medicade to our Pets .We will say this from the Get Go it has to be an up hill battle all the way..It almost appears that if there’s is no group lobbing for some specific cause and making some sort of contribution to a Politician’s Re Election War Chest..It’ll never happen

Pet owners don’t hold your breath for Government Health Insurance for your Pets.Uncle Sam is slow in giving Veteran receiving pensions or compensation a COLA increase . So any movement on this issue will be very slow..It’s harder than pulling teeth for Animal rights groups can’t get laws passed to make stronger penalties for Animal abuse and Neglect. It seems that our Pets  are a non issue to our Lawmakers.However  the time has come to demand Medicade or Medicated for Pets.

When We witness these Hollywood Actors and  Recording Stars at Award shows either Knocking the President or backing Radical Groups with Terrorist ties. If  We Were their studio Bosses..they would be shown the exit door….Though this is a free country and anyone can voice their own opinion .However in this  case we have to believe that in my heart of hearts that not only do they have the studios blessing and go ahead but perhaps they are told to say by the Studio Heads.

When we see Richard Gere come out and support Terrorists in Gaza & The West Bank manipulating the story line  attempting to put a pleasant face on  butchers We scratch our heads in  utter disbelief ..We would have bet our bottom dollar that after that he would be was done in Hollywood. To our shock and dismay we find his films are being saturated day and night on T.V. being shown on every Cable Station from Coast to Coast. Same with Mel Gibson and Elton John.

Are they doing this on their own.? We don”t buy it  not for one second. What is of major concerns to us is when hear Obama say to Angel Merkel when she had reservation about letting in all those refugees into Germany..”Your on the Right side of History”. Is Hollywood working with the left?  Are  all theses these Politically Vocal Stars being  paraded around really just renegade Actors speaking their own minds?  Are these Activist Actors & Rock Stars are in reality actually just Pol Parroting their Studios wishes? Are they merely feigning independent thought but in actuality are just a studio Hack and Stooge?..YOU BE THE JUDGE…

    Has anyone bought one of  these new Extra high Mattresses?Let me tell every the truth concerning these products.

In no way shape or form do they supply you with a better nights sleep than the older style mattreses.Nor are they any better orthopedicaly friendly for your back.

The  only purpose of these Ultra High Mattresses is solely to revitalize the linen buisness..It is to  sell a new  line sheets to match the new mattress ..nothing more.

I bought one to get up on it’s it’s like climbing the up the Himalaya’s. Regular sheets no longer fits these monstratities.New sheets are now needed for this type of bedding .Each Sheet costs between  $45 -$50 per sheet..and it still does not fit right.The corners are constantly riding up.In addition one must purchase some sort of elastic cord and clips to secure the sheet in order to keep it in place.Even the  so-called  new regular size mattress is more or less the  same.

Whenever you go 3rd World Nation or those countries either in Central America,The Middle East,The Far East what you have are the Lower income individuals and the Upper Class.They really don’t have a Middle Class.In place of the Middle Class what they have is a “Merchant Class”.
Every one who ever owned a retail shop anywhere across America will tell you this..In order to be  a successful retailer you must have a secure source of where to get product..You must have a relative or close friend who is either a Manufacture,Distributor,Importer or a repossessor. If you don’t then do not exspect to have a guarantee on a good stable price for merchandise..Get ready for your supplier to rake you over the hot coals .Don’t be surprised if you’re doing well that he doesn’t have a good friend of his open across the street with the same stuff that you sell only he gets his for less & hence out prices you.

In those nations that We described above it’s the exactly the same ..However while here in America if you’re not happy with a shopkeeper there a 20 different places that you can go for Lotto,or Chinese takeout,Pizza,Bagels etc.etc.etc  in  less than 5 minutes.
However in those above foreign nations that We described above in order to buy  merchandise in order to open up a shop ….It’s a closed & private club..passed down to each generation.Those merchants know that all to well and have a captive audience so to speak.They crap on customers and are so rude as to make Don Rickles sound pleasant..When they come here to America and open up shop they take that arrogant attitude here.This does not apply to all immigrant shopkeepers .There are some fantastic proprietors out there. I won’t paint all of them with same broad brush..Having said that you’d be hard pressed  to find a pleasant Dry cleaner or  Green Grocer.

I had an expensive pair of pants.I had to have the waist let out and inch..I brought in to Dry cleaners and instead of letting the waist out they took it in an and in doing so rendered my pants worthless to me.Try to get a refund..you could have 100 friends come and picket their place..they won’t budge.Look we had our share of nasty shopkeepers way before all any of  theses newcomers arrived in our shores.You may recall hearing this  growing up back in the 1950’s every single day at the local candy store”Hey put down that comic book what do you think this is a god damn library”.This will keep occurring until the next generation takes over the business. It’s not about race -Relgiion- or ethnicity but only about  foreign ways..I’ve experienced many foreign shopkeepers they don’t understand the American way of being polite..plus they have  absolutely no tact whatsoever. They will learn the hard way..You gotta be nice to customers.
