This time they have sold out the future of Long Island for the Next two generations. To grant a tax break to the local mall developer at Green Acres on the backs of home owners is nothing short of outrageous. Now all the politicians are all against it… where were they hiding when this tax break was passed. A minium of $750 per year hike in property taxes and as much as $1,000-$1,500 per year. I say give the developers nothing but the old proverbial kick in the pants.
The public demands to know were the developers big campaign contributors? What do you think?
A Forensic bank search is in order.Was any money stock or anything of value passed to either T.O.H elected or appointed officials or any of their family members in the last 4 years.

UNELECTED OFFICIALS rushed this tax break through under the cover of darkness so to speak without any well advertised Town Hall Meeting whatsoever. You mean to tell me that our elected officials knew nothing?
Something of this magnitude had to pass muster with the higher up Elected Officials. Hempstead Town Supervisor Anthony Santino along with other elected higher ups claimed that they were not in the loop and are feigning ignorance saying that the first time that they knew anything about this was when they saw it on the 6 O’clock T.V.News.We don’t buy it for one second.
Now these same elected officials are saying that they are contemplating rescinding on this deal and are putting it on hold.A Judge put a temporary stop gap measure on this deal.
Believe us why can’t they decide this immediately if they really wanted to.
We all know the routine..It’s just a big stall tactic just to creating a public cooling off period so that their anger is subdued.
In a few months BOOM tax increase!
I say do not ever vote for any incumbent official from the Town of Hempstead that were serving while this travesty passed into law .

N.Y.C .Tenant Court is way tilted in favor of the deadbeat Tenant make no mistake about it. A tenant can stop paying rent for any reason whatsoever even if doesn’t involve Landlord neglect or malfeasance and the courts will always tilt in the tenants favor..
We personally know of an owner of a two family house, he bought a 2 family house as opposed to a single family home to help him pay the mortgage. Well the tenant was a good tenant on good term with his landlord which lived in the upstairs section …then the tenant had some sort of brainstorm as to make his rental apartment a condo..”That’s out of the question the said the Honeowner”.The tenant then stopped paying any further rent. The landlord then shut off the electric..the tenant went the police & filed a, complaint..The police told the landlord he can’t do that as the tenant has kids & he must keep the electric on. Every time that they went to court the tenant received an extension to further stay at the apartment rent free.The landlord argues that he has a mortgage obligation . .doesn’t matter it always falls on deaf ears.
It’s high time that the Landlord is considered over the deadbeat Tenant.These Deadbeats know exactly what they’re doing .What the Deadbeat tenants are doing is Paramount to a Grifter scam. They do this all the time after this poor soul of a landlord gets taken they will move on & rent another place & do the something to the new Landlord.
The courts never learn.. We could go on & tell you case after case mirroring the above situation that we just described.
A footnote to this injustice by the Landlor-Tenant Court..The Deadbeat Tenant stayed Rent and Electric Free for 3 years before the homeowner was able to have him evicted by order of the Court..The Homeowner was never compensated for his losses.

I remember back in the day circa 1950 -1960’s Every Friday restaurants accommodated those who had to refrain from meat..You could get all the flounder or fried shrimp you can eat at a place such as Grants for 69 cents. When you ordered Shrimp Marinara you didn’t get 4 or 5 shrimp like you get today..It was loaded with shrimp..Same goes Shrimp with Lobster Sauce at Chinese Restaurant
We were told that Shrimp prices would drop with the advent of Fish farming particularly with its main stays such as Shrimp & The Smoked Fish industry consisting mostly of Lox, Sturgeon and such items..Today the Farm raised fish is not any cheaper you’d be lucky if you get 5 shrimp on any shrimp dish in any restaurant . .and Lox the color has to be added after its retrieved from the Fish farm as the Orange color only occurs when they swim upstream.
The sad thing is that they often feed these Farmed Fish Pig Dung (crap)..At least what’s arriving from China and We wouldn’t be a bit surprised if it’s done here in the U.S.A .also.
What is equally as bad that many ocean caught fish are basically the same thing..they cordoned off a spot in the ocean with massive amount of netting and that traps fish in the confines of that netting and feeds them there “which is Paramount to the exact same thing as fish farming.”
China has built a plethora of artificial islands all throughout the Pacific Rim dotting the Pacific Ocean with Thousands of Fish Farms and as well as we already mentioned loaded with nettings of Sustained Ocean Caught Fish.
Legislation is well over do so this is never done here.Just how healthy is farm raised Fish anyway . You be the Judge.
I remember when some brain trust came up with the bright idea to have the shoppers put a quarter in the Coral in order to get a shopping cart & in order to get your Quarter back you have had to return it to the coral..The Shoppers rejected that system and looked for other Supermarkets to do their shopping….it didnt work. I haven’t been to Florida in a while ,but when I was there I used to l used to like to shop at Publix Supermarkets they had a system….Your shopping cart with your groceries went to the left of the cashier & the shopper went to the right on a sort of circular cash out counter . The bagger was on your left bagged your groceries as the cashier rung them up & brought them out to your car (a good deal of the time the bagger was a retired senior citizen) No tipping allowed..if you tipped the bagger bringing it to your car ..they lost their job . .at least thats what I understood that occurred perhaps I was wrong on that but no one ever tipped.Hence no shopping carts and no more dings.
Supermarkets and all other malls that have shopping carts will post a sign stating “not responsible for shopping cart damaged to your car…Not necessarily so. Did you ever go to a hat & coat at a check at a restaurant or hotel that displayed a sign saying not responsible for lost of damage clothing checked..simple not true..it was already proven in court.
If a supermarket leaves their shopping carts in an unsafe fashion then they are then 100% responsible. Ever go to a supermarket or a Wal-Mart before opening and all the carts all over the place..because the management either doesn’t want to give to workers overtime at closing time or simply just don’t care.

Also every locality has a stipulation that each parking lot marked stale must conform to certain widths you should document that too..
Why should we as customers have to put up with that situation and risk damage to our cars.What irks us is that the workers who round-up the shopping carts are not high-priced employees..their lucky if they earn $12 an hour.You mean to tell me that an outfit such as Wal-Mart which is a Multi Billion Dollar Concern can’t have just one cart handler stay for an extra 1/2 hour overtime in order to round-up the carts at a measly cost of $6.00

Some food items sold today are not what brought them to the legendary fame of yesteryear. Lets start with Pizza…year’s ago you stopped by your local Pizza Parlour for a slice..in my time it cost only 15 cents..Today I had a slice although I ‘ll admit it had a topping & a small Fountain Soda the tariff… $6.50. Today you order a Pie with a topping it runs you close to $25.00..WhenI was growing up there wasn’t a man who could left $25.00 worth of Pizza .Plus they open up & commence to make a dozen pies with different toppings at 10am .by lunch time the slices are cold & dried out & have to be reheated ..not to tasty anymore.Plus all these franchise pizza places,sad to say that’s the future of Pizza stores down the line so get used to it..Between cost of product & rent the Mom and Pop Pizza stores will soon go to the wayside.
Second Chinese food..at one time all you had been Cantonese..It was never authentic Ethic Chinese Cuisine but the concoction of the great Chinese American chefs who operated a central culinary school .No matter what neighborhood in the N.Y.Metro area that you at every restaurants had identical recipes ..Today with the Schezwan & Hunan It’s just not the same not only that but every place has a dissimilar recipes and it couldn’t light a candle to the old Cantonese style of years ago.

Who ever bought one of those fancy box of chocolates knows this to be the truth..There are several different gift style boxed chocloares on the market. Anyone whoever bought a box knows that most of the candies on the box are not worth the wasted calories to consume them. There are about 5 major brands but whatever brand box that is opened you’ll soon agree that there are only 3 chocolates worthy to have per Box the rest is just junk.. We all have said it all along. You would be 100% better off buying a box of of Turtles or a Pecan clusteres any day of the year, but they come in a non-fancy style box not exactly what you would never think to present that to someone on a memorial occasion. Like we mentioned earlier Its all about presentation nothing more. The chocolate company selling that fancy box chocolates fools you everytime.
Did you know that back in the time of the American Revolution that they already had Electricity and Refrigeration.? Yes it a little known fact but true..They had Ice Houses for a good 40 years at that juncture in time .Though the refrigeration units of that time to make the ice for home ice boxes was enourmous but if you had ice houses you had to gave electricity. It wasn’t for a hundred years later in the late 1880’s that the electric street lights were installed & electricity become installed in homes nation wide it was a monumental undertaking at that time.
Also Fingerprint Technology was developed around 1880,that means that they had computers back then too..How else could they have matched up prints in any data base..I know that years ago when you received any gov’t check it always said “donot bend fold or. Spindle” doing so would ruin the computer reading, same goes for all those Iowa Tests we took back in the day using those number 2 pencils.

I rememberer The 1964 world’s Fair at each & every eatery they had 2018 prices back in 1964 it was beyond expensive..however I was at he N.Y.State Pavilion next to the top of the fair & I purchased a full meal for 25 cents..when I started to consume if it was ice cold..I returned it to attendant she informed me to use the ” Ultra Violet” ovens..I was amazed it heated it up in 2 minutes ..it was an early microwave oven. It didn’t hit the public until 1970..though I heard that they actually were available to Mr. & Mrs. Public back in the 1950’s..same goes for Video Tape Recorders although they were much bigger & not yet available in VHS or Beta Cartridge” as we all remember but had a very large tape cartridges. Lets not forget the rear projection T.V. it actually was available in 1958.
Same with T.V.Hitler watched the 1938 Olympics on T.V. back then..however it was untill 10 years later that it became a consumer item. I wonder what the Government is sitting on today
Can anyone enlighten me as why the Italian Restaurants no longer serve Ziti? In its place is now another shaped pasta known as Penne. As far as I’m concerned it’s just not the same. Although the taste & nutrition value are basically alike it’s just not Ziti . A while back I took issue with the waiter his responce was its really no difference. I said then why don’t you serve shells in that case. Even in the Supermarkets you would be hard pressed to find a box of Ziti & if you do its a very small sized variety.
At one time resturants & take outs were serving a “Veal Patty “in place of Veal Cutlet …My father who ate Veal nearly every day complained loudly at every Eatery that replaced a Veal Cutlet with a Patty…A law was passed saying that a restaurant must tell you that in advance whenever anyone orders Veal Cutlet (at least in N.Y.C.)
Another food that resturants tried to slip by you was Turkey Roll (a compressed product made with Gelatin ).I know a member of my family who went ballistic when she orderd a Hot Open Turkey Sandwich & was served Turkey Roll in its place… She yelled at the poor waiter as if he just cheated her out of her life savings , Her yelling was reminiscent of the way N.Y. Yankee Manager Lou Penella used to yell at the Umpire..right in his face. Bottom line when someone orders Baked Ziti that’s exactly what should be served to them.
