Never sell your old LP Record Collection for Peanuts.What these shrude operators will  attempt to do is give you 10 cents per Record  buying all of your prized vinyl  records all lets say for arguments sake all 200 for $50 That’s Paramount to Hi- way robbery.

Let me explain the situation..Originally all there was   vinyl  Records..First 78rpm then 45rpm then The Long Play 33rpm..Now each time a new format comes out on the market the record company must pay their Artist for a new rights release.This was the case for 4 track Cartridges ..8 track Cartridges..Cassettes and Cd ‘s.

Lets say a fictional group for the purpose of this post was given  3 Million  Dollars when cassettes hit the scene.but now with compact disks(CD’S) the record company only offers only 25,000. Then group balks and says”Hey why the decrease”?  The record Company replies back “Well when we paid for your release or cassettes you were an active recording group..you haven’t recorded or played gigs in 20 years”. That may be true says the group but we still  feel your still being unfair to us.

Now its been adjudicated in a court of Law that the Recording Artist can manufacture his own Cd”s but the Original Master Tapes or Disks remain  the sole property of the Record Company. Now the artist must find a clean LP 33 RPM Vinyl  Record to make his Cd..Also any and all Original Album Art stays with and is the Property of the Record  Company.That where your Record collection. value comes in.It may be very valuable ! Also many LP’s were multi Tracked…in other words each section of then  the string section ..the brass section.Percussion and vocal section were all on separate tracks…If one or more of the original tracks are defective or missing..then they need a  Good Clean LP. vinyl record.. Plus if their records was recorded on a Master Disk ..the Master Disk is only  good for 10,000 copies ..again your record are extremely valuable..So don’t let some smooth operator steal your collection for small amount.You may he sitting on Gold Mine.

Old Style Air Pump

Whatever happened to the old style Air Compressors at the gas stations? You would look at your tire and set the PSI  on the pump ..when the bells stopped ringing ..your tire was fully inflated.Today in its place is a  pump that does none of the above.You never know exactly how much air your actually putting in.To make matters worse I think that I’m actually letting out more air than I’m putting in. Yes I have a tire guage…But as the old Yiddish exspression goes “It’ll help you like a tyot  in bankis”  (Translation..like a dead man  getting  cupping)To further complicate the situation..there is an idiot light on my dash-board that lights up when it detects a tire low on air..but it doesn’t tell you which tire..So I must roll down all of my windows and keep the engine running and watch closely  to see if the idiot light to goes off as I put air in each tire..but as we all know ..it’s always the last tire that you put air in that the light goes off.. It’s that way every time! I wish that it  didn’t have those idiot lights..I call it a worry light..better off not having it   As the old adage goes”What you don’t know can’t hurt you”.

Now in N.Y. State it’s the law that you can’t be charged for air…However ever needed air in the middle of the night? The  Gas Station  attandant is locked in a sealed bullet proff  booth with 10 inch glass. ..it’s a mini Fort Knox..and he’s not leaving the confines of the safety of that sealed booth.Plus I’d bet my bottom dollar that he doesn’t speak English anyway and has no idea what you want asking him.What gets me did you ever watch the old T.V.series Star Trek? They travel all over Outer Space to remote  planets in far off Galaxy’s and everyone they encounter speaks English.. But no one working at any Gas Station speaks English..Please. bring back the old Air Pump.This is  Progress?

   I never saw many  different  brands of shampoo in my life..When I was growing up  in the 1950’s we had only  3 Brands Prell, Breck and Johnson’s Baby shampoo and that’s it . Most people used a bar of soap and that was good enough..Fast forward around  15 years Head and Shoulders hit the market they saturated the airwaves promoting  their Dandruff  Shampoo . Today you have not only have to buy the  shampoo but a bottle  conditioner as well. The difference between  Shampoo and soap is that there is actually detergent in today’s Shampoo not unlike what you do your laundry with. However in ever bottle of shampoo there  are trace amounts of conditioner otherwise  it would be no different from washing your hair using a box of Tide. I say all this Shampoo is  nothing but frivolous. You can clean your hair with your bath soap and you’ll  get the same results..Instead of spending your hard-earned money on  an expensive bottle of shampoo bring your money right over  to your toilet bowl and flush…It quicker..it’s easier..bottom line either way line which ever one you choose to do… ..your just throwing  your money down
