The all American Diner had its origins in the late 1940’s in Pennsylvania and made its way to N.Y. in the early 1950’s. It was the cheapest place to eat they served Breakfast..Lunch. and Dinner everyday all day. I remember my local Diner  the Booth Memorial Diner in Flushing on Main Street. They has the best Veal that I ever tasted although their spaghetti sauce thou was not exactly Italian it  was very good nonetheless
I could get 2 stuffed peppers mashed potato with out standing gravy (the likes I’ve never seen since its closing)  and soup  & a  Salad  made with Romaine lettuce for 85 cents, unbelievable!
Then in the late 1960’s  we see the emergence of the  “‘Greek” Diner.”
They expanded at the right time  when in most homes both Husband and wife were working and had little or less time to cook. They were no longer cheap eats and the food in my opinion wasn’t to good  even thou they had baking on premises.
Thats  my personal opinion, .IF you want to eat Italian food it was the  same price as a good Italian restaurant so it made absolutely no sense to eat Italian food there.
Today I see many Diner s revamping their places modernizing building spending millions on structural and interior and not a penny on a new recipe ..how sad ,just lipstick on a pig.

Now  a new restaurants emerge  such as Fridays  , Applebees, Chiles, the so-called theme restaurants and are literally putting them out of Business As more and more  diners closes their doors for  good. I say it’s a combination of better priced and better tasting food
Last but not least let not forget the Chinese buffet &  take outs not to mention the proliferation of Pizza Parlors , Bagel shops as well as Family  Steak houses  and that spells doom for the Diners that’s the way it is/end

DOCTORS OF TODAY AINT WORTH SQUAT

When I was a growing  you had one family Doctor, provided service when one was expecting  he delivered you at birth took out your tonsils  set a broke arm, removed your appendix & made house calls in any type of weather.
I don’t know when the AMA got the brainstorm to eliminate house calls, but they did just that ” Dial 911 and get yourself over to the Emergency room is what they tell you now. If you have no money or coverage they wont see you. What ever happened to the Hippocratic oath, out the window along with house calls The Doctor was once the most respected of all individuals has made themselves no better than a  Bum merely out for the cash reward . My parents grew up in the 1920′s in the poorest neighborhood in N.Y.C. ”Williamsburg ”and the Doctor lived in the neighborhood that he  practiced in. He was a professional a college graduate and could have live anywhere but he chose out of dedication to live where he practiced among illiterate factory workers  now that’s respect and dedication!
Today A  Doctor wants to practice in Levittown(working class $200.000 homes) but live in Muttontown town( upscale 3 million dollar homes). I think that todays Doctors feel that being  a Doctor is like an elevation in society like an  English Earl ..guess what well It Ain’t . Perhaps we should call Doctors Mr or Mrs , instead of Doctor as  a Nurse is Addressed.
When a Police Officer is off duty & returns to his home he is no longer referred to as officer or Sgt.but Mr..Same goes for a Member of the Armed forces when on duty it’s Major or Corporal but when they return home they’re called Mr..
When a Doctor leaves the hospital or the confines of his  office he should be called Mr.as well . Bring them back to reality into the world of “respect the patient “
Doctors should work for the government and get a pay scale like that of a military doctor only..It’s high time for a change in the system.

What We Need Is New Guidelines For Doctors To Follow…

Medical costs are breaking Uncle Sam , what we must have is a law saying that all Doctor’s must except Medicare & Medicare or fold up your tent and close down your practice, Where has the Hippocratic oath gone? I don’t care how much money a doctor spends for college and medical , school, Imagine if a candy store proprietor said I must charge  $5,00 for a stick of gum because It costed me “x’ amount open my shop . As a consumer , who cares !
Though times require though measures. even if the Government  will only allow $20 for  a visit it should and must be taken/end

George Dalmon, Andy Miles, Banned From All-You-Can-Eat Restaurant For Eating Too Much

Two patrons have reportedly been banned for life from an all-you-can-eat buffet in England — for eating too much.
George Dalmon, 26, and Andy Miles, 25, were booted from Gobi, a Mongolian Barbecue restaurant in Brighton, after the manager labeled the duo “a couple of pigs,” according to reports in the British press.
The two guys were Gobi regulars, scarfing somewhere in the range of five bowls of stir-fry apiece each time: “Basically they just come in and pig out,” a manager, who asked not to be named, explained to The Sun. “We have put up with them for two years but I’ve had enough.”

He added that, in two years, neither of the pair had tipped or purchased anything other than water and the buffet. He defended his buffet-banning actions to The Telegraph: “We are not a charity, we’re a business. It’s our restaurant and we can tell people not to come back if we don’t want them to.”

Gobi’s manager isn’t the first to gripe about a bad customer. Indeed, a site recently launched aiming to be a place for owners to blacklist or complain about their patrons. BadConsumers.com attempts to expose those who have stiffed small companies–not quite the case for these stuffed patrons.

Gobi’s website continues to advertise the buffet deal, luring in customers with the promise of “the finest meats, seafood and fresh vegetables” stir-fried for you “as many times as you wish.” A visit to the buffet set each man back £12 (about $20).

Dalmon and Miles have since defended their actions and believe Gobi shouldn’t be able to kick them out. Dalmon told The Argus, “They’ve only got small bowls and you can’t get enough in there so we always go back for more.”

Why People Don’t Want To Get Off The Dole….

Why do people who are relatively in good health do  not make an attempt to return to work and leave behind their benefit package? Although there are a lot of people who simply don’t fall into that category and are unable to return to work or must leave a job for legitimate reasons of not being in good health  to continue work…for them this article doesn’t apply….

The feds can’t keep shop’s closed forever during Covid but they can still bankrupt the economy by giving unemployment Insurance which is in excess of salaries making shops close due to no workers available .

Many people feel that why should why should they  work  40 hrs. plus the time for travel to and from work and make the same on whatever  they are on whether it be  Welfare..  SSI.. SSD..Compensation or Unemployment  Insurance you know  they have  a point. I’m  sure  that each agency has some form of Reviews and re certification system in place.and their position is if your able to work they don’t care if you make minimum wage you should return to work.
What the government must do is more than encourage employers lets say  of more than  25 people to pay a living wage where  one can be head of household. have afford a place of their own a car and be in a position to put away some sort of savings to perhaps  buy and maintain a car and have health insurance. No one collecting is going to give up sitting on his or her reclining chair all day for the same as they make on the Dole.it ‘s not going to   happen  / The government must step in a  give Tax abatements and close the corporate Tax loophole so as employers will have the money to make less profit and pay living wages.I’ts as simple as that/end
