The L.I.R.R Hickville Station is now the Home Of The Hobos. I went there at night around 930 pm the waiting room was open and I was hesitant to buy a ticket at the vending machine, you see its not wise to open your wallet with all these hobos , bums and drug addicts that hangout there day and night. Where are the MTA police? not there for sure.
I was driving on the Southern State highway now that’s a state road and the N.Y. State troopers are supposed to patrol , however there was a Nassau county police car pulling over cars . why I thought? they don’t patrol on that road , why not have that Nassau county police car patrol the L.I.R.R Hicksville station & assist the MTA police rather than the State Troopers? it would be better serve the community thats for sure , Listen up MTA police start patrolling the Hicksville Station and let the MTA earn that outrageous rate increase, round up the hobos and put them in shelters away from the station ./end

Nassau PBA & The Civil Service Union Will Bust The County if the slated raises goes through. The State oversight committee nixed the raises but a judge overturned it and said its illegal and they must get the raise with all back interest,
What the civil servants don’t comprehend is the civil servants exist only to serve the county not the other way around. The oversight committee is appealing the ruling . Say no to those raise were paying to much taxes now!

I just canceled my service from Slomins Hicksville Laumans Road N.Y. . Why you ask because , I’m one person in a house and paying large bills to be in the cold house , Last month December 31st I paid $395 dollars last month today a month later I got an oil delivery and it was 129 gallons at 3.9.999 a gallon to come to over $530 . I have these electric fireplace s I nearly barricade myself in one room leave the fire place on and have my thermostat set at 58 degrees ,
My house is like a barn and I;m Paying big bills , why , When I called and told them something is wrong , they told me that I couldn’t t get a tune up till July I cried , Its still January, they said well we had a hurricane , I went to say listen I don’t care if we had an atom bomb this is poor service & I pay an additional 10 cents per gallon for service .I called back and asked to speak to a supervisor , they didn’t put on one , Now I don’t know if my oil burner is faulty or there machine spewing out the pay amount ticket is faulty who knows ,when was that machine last calibrated? something is wrong I’m not accusing them of fraud or or anything not on the up and up, but at least comedown and check my oil burner before July .
Bottom line is I canceled my service and I whole heartingly recommend that you shop for another home heating oil company elsewhere / end.

Every big tree in Long Island on homeowners land land must be chopped down to make sure that no tree ever knocks down a power Line again. Theses large trees 50 years old are all diseased ,have some sort of rot and a short root system , making it ripe to fall in a major storm like they did in Sandy.
The sidewalk committees should make LIPA or the town pay for new sidewalks when these trees felled. This should be a major undertaking in Nassau County end/

Lipa’s response to Sandy is unacceptable , inept, slow and it is in our opinion gross incompatance, Both counties should force Lipa to call in more out of state crews now and all expenses concurred from this storm shoddily be footed by the stock holders not the ratepayers ! For over a half a million homes to be powerless going on to a second week is shame full.
when the smoke all clears and the crises is over LIPA must be replaced by another utility company and heads must roll end/

I was surveying the and Island of Long and what I saw was not pleasant , trees still down uncleared electric polls tilted and leaning about to fall, a half of million homes without power more without cable, no land line phones , senior citizens home bound 2mile lines for Gasoline, and its getting cold not like Tuesday night. A friend of mine stuck in the City of Long Beach reports looting , drug stores looted of controled substances and will the polls be opened for election day this upcoming Tuesday?And what impact if any will this have on the Election?
I received mail from out of state , why can’t we receive a shipment of gasoline from out of state?
we need 10 times the crews from out of state to get this mess cleaned up. We have a great Governor Andrew Coumo who seems to be holding the power companies feet to the fire to get things done and Kate Murray and john Vendiito Town supervisors in my neck of the woods doing a great job too, and lets not forget Senator Shumer and Gilabrad and the long Island congressional contingent doing a great job.but again we need more volunteers and paid crews from out of state end/

Consolidated Edison Electric Companys( New York City) motto in the 1950’s is dig we must! They had the good sense to bury all the power cables . With a Major storm due “Sandy” we can except a lot of power outages that never should have happened had they done the right thing years ago when Con Ed did it wire burying project .
All of the congressman on Long Island should push for federal funding for this and eliminate all pork barrel projects , every dollar from Washington counts . we at Nassau and Suffolk Counties are not some back woods tank town in the south or mid west we are the hub of New York the major suburb in the nation and we need our electrical wires under ground now!

JULY 4TH.OUR NATIONAL DAY OF INDEPENDENCE HAS MORPHED INTO A ” DISTURB THE PEACE DAY” WITH ILLEGAL FIREWORKS BLASTING AWAY ALL NIGHT SOUNDING AS IF I LIVE IN DOWN TOWN AFGANISTAN.YOU WANT TO BE PATRIOTIC JOIN THE ARMY OR SEND A DONATION TO THE USO AND LEAVE THE FIREWORKS TO THE PROFESSIONALS WHO PUT ON FIREWORK SHOWS.I have rockets landing in my backyard and front lawn.These Fireworks continues all summer long all hours of the night into early morning 2 am 3am am from July 4th on to Labor Day.

Hobos (Bums) homeless now pitch their tent so to speak at Stop & Shops Lot , in the back on the grassy section near the CVS parking lot inEast Meadow N.Y,The Pan Handling goes unabated all day , begging for cash and one s got to be a little concerned that they spot you and come over and pan handle as you exit your car. How safe is your car from a deliberate scratch or vandalizing thou this hasn’t happened yet as know , its annoying to be bothered every time you shop there
Myself personalty ,along with The Lerman Report and a story in the East Meadow Patch got the resident Wal-Mart Hobo removed from the Walmart Premises . Now stop and shop as to do the same , /end
