Every big tree in Long Island on homeowners  land land must be chopped down to make sure that no tree ever knocks down a power Line again. Theses large trees 50 years old  are all diseased ,have some sort of rot and a short root system , making it ripe to fall in a major storm like they did in Sandy.

The sidewalk committees should  make LIPA or the town pay for new sidewalks when these trees felled. This should be  a major undertaking in Nassau County  end/

I was surveying the  and Island  of Long and what I saw was not pleasant , trees still down uncleared  electric polls tilted and leaning  about to fall, a half of million homes without power more without cable, no land line phones , senior citizens home bound  2mile lines for Gasoline, and  its getting cold not like Tuesday night. A friend of mine stuck in the City of Long Beach reports looting , drug stores looted of controled substances and will the polls be opened for election day this upcoming Tuesday?And what impact if any will  this have on the Election?

I received mail from out of state  , why can’t we  receive a shipment of gasoline from out of state?

we need 10 times the crews from out of state to get this mess cleaned up. We have a great Governor Andrew Coumo who seems to be holding the power companies feet to the fire  to get things done and Kate Murray and john Vendiito  Town supervisors in my neck of the woods doing a great job  too, and lets not forget Senator Shumer and Gilabrad and the long Island congressional contingent doing a great job.but again we need more volunteers and paid crews from out of state end/

Consolidated Edison Electric Companys( New York City) motto in the 1950’s is dig we must! They had the good sense to bury all the  power cables . With a Major storm due “Sandy” we can except a lot of power outages that never should have happened had they done the right thing years ago when Con Ed did it wire burying  project .

All of the congressman on Long Island should push for federal funding for this and eliminate all pork barrel projects , every dollar from Washington counts . we at Nassau and Suffolk Counties are not some back woods tank town in the south or mid west we are the hub of New York the major suburb in the nation and   we need our electrical wires under ground  now!

 In both The east Meadow & Uniondale store the parking lot has become a favorite spot for panhandlers from down on your luck ”Bums” to religious fanatics  begging for money as they pass out their literature. 

Management continue  to cast a blind eye to this problem ignoring the costumer complaints . will this ever stop? Perhaps a boycott or just plain shop elsewhere  is in order.end

       Wal-Mart of  East Meadow N.Y, Lets  a Bum (Hobo, Homeless) man  Camp in  Front OF Store  All day & Night. There is a homeless man What they used to be called Bowery type Bums  sit in front of  its east meadow N.Y. store located on Hempstead Turnpike and camp out drinking Beer all day & Night.  Sometimes he sleeps in the lobby on the scooter’s Numerous complaints were made to the store manager which practicably ignores all complaints-and does nothing , sometimes they call security, but he ‘s always there day after day.

I personalty called the main office of Wal-Mart and they said they can’t do nothing about it , that they call police but  he’s not breaking any laws

I said listen 

1 he’s drinking beer in public

2, hes malingerering

3. he’s loitering

4, vagrancy and you can’t or will not do anything?   It looks terrible , he sleeps in the lobby, the employees talk & smoke with him on their break. they went on to say their hand are tied and all but dismissed the matter . I went on and said look I have compassion for him , but its not nice when you shop and your family has to see this,and he belongs in a shelter or Psych ward to get proper help he needs. I went on to say that I once owed and operated  a retail store and if this guy was camping out drinking in front of my store ,I’d call the cops and he  would be gone from the area. they ended the converstaion with we cant do anything. This is ticking clock a future bad situation ready to happen ,hes drinking all day ( in front of the store )and he not normal and  Walmart knows about him and everyone safety is  at jeopardy Walmart is  responsible .end

–  *Hobo no longer resides at Walmart East meadow however a new bum now lives at the edge of the parking lot at stop and shop  on the grass and stays by Stop and Shop, the 1st day the Hobo was no longerr at WAlmart they had a Salvation Army Bell ringer in his spot . yes in July how strange!

The Governors office  should not either bail out or revamp N.U.M.C.A .

Don’t Give NUMC A Cent , No one in there right mind wants to go to that joint, the services are piss poor from the Doctors to the nurses right down to the orderlys., There is an array of foreign Doctors no one speaks Properly English . you watch star trek and they go to remote planets and everyone speaks English, you go to NUMC and hardly anybody does. God forbid your  in an accident or having a medical emergency. people have been known to beg the ambulance driver not to take them to NUMC. NIFA dont give them any more money the East meadow residents are tired of a non tax payer and perhaps they should either tare down the building or convert it into an apartment complex..end
