The Believed reason is that from a historical period lets say years circa 1000   to 1900 As Jews of Eastern Europe were confined to walled sections of the cities known as  Ghettos which had the worst sanitation ( horse-drawn Carts with uncleaned horse droppings) Narrow streets congested living quarters   plus had buildings exceeded and  raised up  as high as 8 stories hundreds years ago unheard of  till the last century to accommodate the large population with  in the Jewish pale of Settlement, In that period  Typhoid  and every airborne disease ran rampant within the narrow walled section of  the streets of Eastern Europa,and subsequently as the centuries past preceding generations where of healthier stock as compared to those populations of  non-Jewish origin. To Jews a super-food is not green leafy vegetables or a strawberry for example but a pastrami club sandwich If you examine the populations of Major world cities Jews Are a minority , but as people reach their senior years the statics change and Jews become Senior and then  become the Majority strange as it may sound. Let me start  by saying that I will always continue to greet and wish those who are of the Christian faith a “Merry Christmas” but hope that if you don’t know me personally and know my faith please greet me by saying Happy Holidays.

If you know me then please extend a Happy Hanukkah greeting to me.If you don’t  know me a Happy Holidays are in order.There are only 3 different Holidays that take place at this juncture in time Christmas,Chanukah, and Kwanza.When coming in contact with strangers a “Happy Holiday” greeting is in order as they can be a half a dozen different faiths who do not celebrate Christmas.

 When I was growing up as a Jew in the 1950′s in N.Y. C. all year you were an American a part of society all year except from The day after Thanksgiving to New Years Day you were alienated from society.In school in Assembly I remember Christmas songs being taught and sung and I asked when are we going to sing Hanukkah Songs only to get a wise guy smirk from the teachers. The Christmas decoration were up on every main Street U.S.A. and every T.V. show had a Christmas special or theme not to mention every radio station playing Christmas songs.It was like We Jews were aliens In the country for 1 month a year

Mind you my family were loyal upstanding citizens who served in armed forces going back from Civil War Times.Please don’t get my wrong Jews find nothing offense about Christmas songs ….decorations and such it it’s very nice..but not ours

I always considered it an  honor  to be invited to help enjoy Christmas Dinner at  a friends home..It’s just that we have our Holiday  in the same juncture of time & we were being disenfranchised  all over America.

Today with the inclusion Hanukkah in the ‘Holiday Season” makes me feel good that no Jew in America will be alienated once again… Even thou Hanukkah is not the most Holiest of  Jewish Holidays it plays a paramount importance to Jews in today society..

 For those  who schedule events On  Jewish High Holy Days it Amounts to a Slap in The face To Jews all over.It  makes no difference whether it be a Major League Baseball Game or an event  or function where Jewish people are  either active participants or a large  segment of  the audience.We at The Lerman Report urge Jews all over to remember this act of Gross Disrespect and boycott Business’s T.V Shows and not watch news casters that work on High Holidays.Everyone who runs or owns  a business has a calendar and knows when all Major Jewish Holidays falls out especially in  the U.S.A .You mean to tell it was impossible to work out  some sort of an accommodation to switch it to another day ? This is the height of insensitivity .We will say this much Jewish  organizations will always refrain  from scheduling events on Non Jewish Holidays if  it any way interfere with their non-Jewish counterparts participation

With the high cost of a funeral today along  that the funeral parlors rakes the bereaved over the coals in their most vulnerable time its high time that All Established Religions find a new way to honor the deceased.

Perhaps organ donor ship or an  inexpensive cremation,  Most funerals are frauds anyway ..

The funeral home gets  you a Rabbi  or Minister who never saw  or knows the family from Adam.The clergyman for hire then meets with the family members  for 10 minutes and then spins a story as if he went through the war and grew up  with the deceased …what Chutzpah ! It’s phony and not worth $15000 to $20,000 dollars.

 If you ask me it’s not worth a plug nickel to have a fake show such as that.

Sad to say that  the mourners in their time of  bereavement that this sham is being perpetrated upon them. I would only describe it as a Shanda.

Somebody told us that their grandfather who was born in Warsaw Poland in 1893 said that the mourners used to wrap the deceased in a sheet and put one wooden board underneath and on top and that was all that was it when it came to a burial. We should honor the dead not the funeral home owners

                    Another Novel Way To Avoid  a Traditional Funer

We would personally rather be made into Solent Green than have my family bring me to todays funeral parlors or bury me in a cardboard box. It makes absolutely no difference because In a month the acid content of the soil plus the cemetery rats and bugs will eat through any expensive coffin finish. You better believe it that  in less than 30 days a $20,000  casket with an expensive hand rubbed fine lacquer finish will be totally indistinguishable from that of a $2.00 orange crate.

Does any body in the right mind believe that after the funeral party leaves the cemetery that some scrupulousness grave-diggers are going not dig up that high-priced coffin and not sell it back another funeral parlor ? Guess what ? That is exactly what’s going to happen..and replace your deceased loved one’s corpse in that $2.00 orange crate.You can bet your house on that !

Don’t  be bit surprised if your loved ones organs also  wind up getting removed as well..There is also a good possibility that they were already removed or as they say “Harvested”  earlier by the funeral home  who most likely was working with someone on the inside from the hospital.

       Freeze Dried Method

By the way the lease on a grave plot in any Jewish cemetery is only for 75 years.After that they plant someone new in your spot.Besides just tell me how many of  deceased relatives or ancestor’s from 75 years back do you or anyone else  in your family even remotely knows or has any recollection of ?
