– Fascinating! Jews in Uganda. I noticed early in the clip the “Shmah” written in Hebrew on the wall of their synagogue. (Note to my non-Jewish friends: the “Shmah” is one of the holiest of Prayers. It translates to “Hear, oh Israel, the Lord our G-d, the Lord is one.”)
Also recently learned that if a Torah scribe makes a mistake while creating a Torah he can correct the mistake unless the mistake is in the word for G-d, in which case the entire torah must be scrapped because the name of G-d must never be erased. The Torah must be buried in a Jewish cemetery
