Boycott Jason Biggs Next Movie
We just finished watching the Jason Biggs movie” Wedding Daze”/ We were highly offended as the comic relief in this movie is a not so subtle Antisemitism. There is a character who is a step father and they portray him as a schmuck with a yarmulke and always color coordinated it to match his shirt and is a milk-toast and in the final part of the movie is a total coward.
It wasn’t called for to have comic relief at the expense of Jews .Perhaps the studios are trying to shed a Jewish portrayed image that Biggs has from his other films or perhaps the Hollywood Studio’s are attempting to distance themselves from former Jewish ownership and dominance in the movie Industry. We don’t know if that is accually so but it this subtle Anti Semitic for lack if a better word “theme” was a highly insulted injecting that into the Movie. Jews and Non Jews watching this movie were offended.We don’t know the story lines of his other films but if this film is any example..then We say boycott Jason Biggs next Film & send Hollywood a message..

kosher Butcher Shops Gauge Holiday Shoppers It was in N.Y. area I was there . I t was $35-$65 for a 3 lb pkg of Brisket and $5 a lb.several shops charged for Kosher Chop meat was$8.00 for 1.89lbs , in my book thats outrageous , how is someone able to make a Holiday Diner for Rosh Hashana I will bring this up to the consumer agency in my county as I check prices on Mondays with todays prices. end

I personalty cooked everything from stuffed cabbage , kasha varnishes, Potato latkas Noodle pudding sweet potatos Kreplach and chicken soup aTurkey and 2 Briskets(1 for the kreplach),plus a fish plater and an un traditional; Italian Antipasto platter it took 3 days all together to cook this year I’m doing the same
Don Lerman’s Stuffed Cabbage’s
Ingredients as Follows…..
2 large cans of redpack crushed tomatoes
1 large can tomatoe sauce Such as Del Monty ,hunts or Redpack
I large box of dark raizons
1 box george washington rich brown gravy mix
1 small can of accent
1 box Carolina rice
1 lemon
1, box dark brown sugar
3 medium Heads green cabbage
1 golden delious apple\
1 large yellow onion ( same size as apple)
2 eggs
1 1/2 lbs kosher chop meat ( socked and salted , skirt neck and diapram)
Directions to cook as follows…..
1 boil down the cabbage heads . and I mean boil them down until soft otherwise it;ll taste like an inner tube
2. grate oniom
3. grate apple
4.open cans of crushed tomato and sauce and pour in large stock pot
5.put grated apple in stock pot with sauce
6. put grated onion in stock pot with sauce]
7.put box of brown sugar in ( don’t even try to use white cane sugar , brown only)
8.put 2 packet george washingtons rich brown gravy mix in pot
9.shake a little accent in pot
————in a separate pot boil rice”1 cup” ————-
10. mix chop meat with 2 eggs in large bowl add cooked rice ( let rice cool otherwise eggs in chop meat will curdle)
11. cabbage ( cut away vein ) cool under cold water for a minute
12. put leaves on table and add meat mixture.. roll up!
13.put rolled leave sin center of pot with sauce mixture
13 put on medium heat for 3 hrs
14 at very end add juice of 1 lemon( do not add before or it will be to sour)
–sometimes it doesn’t have ”the taste ” until the next day when it cures overnight in the fridge that’s the nature of stuffed cabbage don’t worry

When I was growing up in the 50’s we were a family of 4 we were poor , but ate well nobody was overweight ,the most men would experience at middle age was a pot belly , women tended to get heaver after giving birth to a few babies. we were 4 people and used 1 roll of toilet paper for a week , today people buy it by the case multi paks and everyone uses 1 roll every 3 days , thats outrageous when you think about it, many in the medical field that all this obseity stems from High Fructose Corn Syrup, so do I.Its cheap the food industry favors it over sugar , we’ve become a society of fat lazy slobs ban the syrup now ..end

Many Jews of the Baby Boomer Generation remember their parents speaking Yiddish as a secret language so we didn’t know what they were speaking about.They always had to throw in an English word in and for the moment lost the secrecy of their conversation. Many Jews now in my 60′s and above know what we are talking about. Yiddish a language rich in culture and literature, “The Mamaloshen” The Mother Tongue that served the Jews of Eastern and central Europe well for nearly 1000 years was put to death by a generation of selfish parents who rather maintain a secret language to speak in front of their children than pass on a Heritage.
They are not the only ones to shoulder the blame for destroying a culture. The modern state Israel shares some blame as well. When the Jews where coming in from Europe after World War 11 Soldiers harassed those openly speaking Yiddish and were reminded to speak Hebrew. The Government supplied paper for newspapers and wouldn’t supply paper for Yiddish Publications. Paper for Yiddish daily s had to be bought on Black market and was whatever color that was available & it was not unusual to see news papers with red color paper for Yiddish publications.If Israel had made Yiddish the national language.Even when many Jews are nice enough to accept make a. Minion call so those can say kadish they remain chided for using their schooled upbringing Ashknazic pronounciation.Uterly disrespectful to say the least.

We can only imagine how many pre WW II immigrants to America would have packed up and left America for Israel in 1949. We are upset when our Ashknazic pronunciation is being corrected in Shul it’s not right.There is a Rabbi in the Fort Lauderdale Florida area that’s says in his advertisement”I use the old-fashioned Ashkenazic Pronunciation and get you out in less than an hour so you can take your wife to the mall or kid to the little league”.We like that..
