BEIJING — The world’s tallest woman has died in eastern China. She was 39.
Chinese state media say Yao Defen died on Nov. 13 at her home in China’s eastern province of Anhui.
Guinness World Records in January 2010 had certified her as the world’s tallest living woman at 7 feet and 7 inches (233.3 centimeters).
The local Xin’an Evening News did not give the cause of death but said in a report that Yao suffered from gigantism, with a tumor on her pituitary gland disrupting her levels of growth hormone. A government official in her county who gave only his surname, Liu, confirmed Yao’s death on Wednesday.
The Xin’an newspaper said Yao learned to play basketball when young, and that she was 6 feet and 7 inches (200 centimeters) tall by the age of 15.
In a Chinese-language video from three years ago, Yao expressed anguish at her unusual height. “I am very unhappy. Why am I this tall?” she said from her bed. “If I were not this tall, others would not look at me like this.”
TLC revisited the story of Dominique Lanoise with “600 Pound Mom: Race Against Time.” She was still struggling with her weight, but wanted to get gastric bypass surgery to try and lose weight and save her life. The only problem was that doctors wanted to get her to 500 pounds before doing the surgery. Instead, Dominique continued to gain weight.
Believing her weight was killing her, doctors decided to go ahead with the procedure, despite her 689-pound mass. It was an incredibly risky surgery due to her size, but it was successful. Tragically, though, Dominique got sick and passed away just two weeks later.
, I owned a day old bread store ( Silvercup Discount Bakery) I build up a trade , advertised and after i had built it up A wonder Bread Thrift store open right across the street and took all my business way , They ( the suits from ITT Bakery spied my store for several months , rented an old Bicycle shop across the street at a cost of $3,5oo a month , I was paying $300 a month rent And renovated the place to a tune to $50.000 in today’s inflation that would be 1 $100,000 plus dollars ..

I remenmber it was 1958 I was Kleins on the Square in West Hempstead L.I. N.Y.
At that junction in time they didn’t have a Black Friday sale but they did have a Washington’s Birthday sale in which hundreds of items such as watches were marked down to a Dollar to honor George Washington since he was on a One Dollar bill.They refered to the sale as a door buster.
I was with my with my father and my great Aunt Pauline as they open the doors the crazy mob knocked me down and I was trampled “Ben Hur Chariot race” Style.I was actually trampled by an angry crowd of manic shoppers. The crowd broke the glass cases in the store and the counters .The police were called in and the store was shut with no sale on that day.However I was badly bruised, so much that every time I watch the chariot scene in which the Roman Chariot driver got trampled it reminds me of a wild grand openings & Black Friday Sales ”.
A man was trampled at a Walmart a few years ago on Black Friday , there are people that laugh when they tell that story , how sad and pathetic. Today they set up fences cris crossing each few feet to prevent this from occurring again to late for some people .end/

In America old age is laughed at ..’Look at the old Geezer or old Hag.Its almost as if we think of the elderly as a separate species. We make fun of toothless people. I was at a swimming pool when a group of senor citizens were going in the pool and as they all got in the pool my someone at poolside yelled look cocoon” as in the movie of the same name reminiscent of the pool Scene when the old people went into the pool to rejuvenate to become young and healthy again.
While in Japan Old age is Revered and respected. It was something to look up to.Yes there l is senor discounts and housing at a good price ,..but that’s by the governments not by the individuals. I remember my grandmother saying when she was 78 yrs old ” I look in the mirror and see an old lady that’s not me”Well we will all grow old and let me tel you this …We will gethere someday if were lucky.
