Mel Weitz a true Pioneer in Discount Supermarkets dead at 91. I remember his store the Food town on old country road in Hicksville back in the seventy’s & his 2 store s on Hempstead Turnpike  in East Meadow and the one next the building at kmart in Levittown, you never walked away without value from his stores . He was nothing short of a great Businessman, a man of vision .His legacy will live on..Don Lerman
