Close down all pet stores … Urge your representatives and to pass legislation to ban stores from selling live animals.I visited a pet store and there were many unsold dogs.A lot of the larger breeds were getting very big and were unsaleable (what happens to these dogs when they Get to big for sale?) Do they return to the puppy Mills to be put to sleep or become a slaves & breed more unwanted pups?Answer they’re surendered to Dog Shelters and sad today they are “Kill Shelters”.
It was right I was in a popular pet store recently which shall remain nameless for this story there were 23 large dogs that were fully grown and unsaleable .. looks like they were holding out-for a big price and got stuck with the now oversized fully grown dogs
Recently in San Francisco California a law was enacted that the only dogs that pet stores are allowed to sell are shelter dogs…pass laws now to ban pet stores /end
FORMER MAYOR DE Blasio had it right .. get rid of Horse Drawn carriages IN CENTRAL PARK. IT IS ANIMAL Curilty At it’s BEST. Someone ONCE TOLD ME THAT POLICE DEPARTMENT MOUNTED POLICE HORSES RETIRE ON FARMS .. HOW UNTRUE. the police dept.s do not own or operate farms and the cost IS nearly $20,000 a year to maintenance a horse. THE RETIRED former police dept.mounted police horses wind up being shipped out of the country .They most likely will pull a cart and work hard till the day that they die.Most likely they will be transported yo other countries work if they are lucky perhaps a a horse riding academy for the rest of their lives .. how sad and besides did you ever go into tavern on the Green? You could get sick from the horse droppings right before your meal as you smell the stench as you enter their restaurant. that’s besides the point .It’s just down right cruel to the horses …end of story.
Why is long Island paying more than lets say ” Florida” for electric? Florida runs their air conditioner units 24/7 . PSC&G was supposed to be the Messiah of electric companies we were promised to be our deliverer of economical service and cost? Now an increce of $17 a household , come on , Mr.& Mrs. public is getting electrocuted once again, and no one in government seems to care . how sad. Now PSC&G will be getting a raise increase ”delivery of electric in Feb . after we were promised no raise hike for 5 years . they are worse then LIPA ever was./end

I don’t know about you but when I’m in a room with people that I know and they start speaking a foreign language in front of me so that I can’t know what they are saying …I don’t like it one bit. It’s downright rude and disrespectful to say the least . I can see if one of the parties doesn’t understand English but when they both do its totally unacceptable.
Chinese take outs are notorious for doing this.I used to order Chow Fun everyday when I came in they would yell in sing song “CHOW FUN” I told them I know what they are saying and they still continue to speak it in front of me they got to think that I’m a putz or something. My parents & Grandparents used to speak Yiddish in front of me using it as a secret language & private conversation to but always lost the privacy when they had to throw in an English word like ” KITCHEN”.At that point they where lost for a Yiddish word and lost the secrecy of the, their conversation.
If I’m in your in a store and the help is conversing in a foreign tongue say something and report it to thier supervisor. If you speak English … Speak English!!end

I thought I’d never see it… people driving thier cars and throwing their garbage out of car windows as they drive away. This is not in some 3rd world slum , but right here in upper middle class neighborhoods Yesterday I thought I saw a newspaper deliverer throwing a newspaper to a house that was someone who lived in the area, low and behold , it was a bag of garbage from a local hamburger joint out being thrown out the car window and driving away.
People must be raised in pig styes today . I’d love to see their house , properly loaded with clutter, ash trays filled to capacity and the kitchen sink loaded with dirty dishes , I recently wrote an story on animals in mens bath rooms in public , Urinating on toilet seats,feces not flushed down ,

Jacqueline Traide was tortured in front of hundreds of horrified shoppers in a bid to raise awareness and end the practise.
The 24-year-old endured 10 hours of experiments, which included having her hair shaved and irritants squirted in her eyes, as part of a worldwide campaign by Lush Cosmetics and The Humane Society.
The disturbing stunt took place in Lush’s Regent Street store, one of the UK’s busiest shopping streets.
Jacqueline appeared genuinely terrified as she was pinned down on a bench and had her mouth stretched open with two metal hooks while a man in a white coat force-fed her until she choked and gagged.
The artist was also injected with numerous needles, had her skin braised and lotions and creams smeared across her face.
Passers-by were gobsmacked to see Jacqueline, a social sculpture student at Oxford Brookes University, forced to have a section of her head shaved.
The gruesome spectacle aimed to highlight the cruelty inflicted on animals during cosmetic laboratory tests and raise awareness that animal testing is still a common practise.
The Humane Society International and Lush Cosmetics have joined forces to launch the largest-ever global campaign to end animal testing for cosmetics.
The campaign, launched to coincide with World Week for Animals in Laboratories, is being rolled out simultaneously in over 700 Lush Ltd shops across forty-seven countries including the United States, Canada, India, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea and Russia.
Lush campaign manager Tamsin Omond said: “The ironic thing is that if it was a beagle in the window and we were doing all these things to it, we’d have the police and RSPCA here in minutes.
“But somewhere in the world, this kind of thing is happening to an animal every few seconds on average.
“The difference is, it’s normally hidden. We need to remind people it is still going on.”
