      Another reassessment of property tax on the way …Does anyone think your taxes will go down and be less..It will most properly rise and be an un equable increase  for sure . If it does go up , there will be middle  class flight , senors going down south to low tax states such as Florida and the Carolina s & college educated  leaving in droves ..the only one staying are the unskilled workers who are stuck at local industry and can’t afford to take a chance that they can find work for the same salary rage  elsewhere

     What we will have is higher taxes and lower property values .resale that can be snatched sup at fire-sale prices for those getting a resale so cheap the  higher taxes doesn’t bother them…..Send a message to your politicians .vote all incumbents out of office regardless of party affiliation ../end

         What about abandoned and unkempt strip malls and retail and commercial stores and property ?   A big hefty fine is in order for the filth and garbage  of unattended and fallow property that we the public must endure on a daily basis for years also confiscation by eminent do main if necessary concerning the offending”Zombie  Property”

       Now is the time for the towns and Municipalities to act and  act they must on property such as old K_Mart bldg.on Hempstead Turnpike in Levitttown N.Y.  left virtual  fallow for nearly  20  years ..God only knows what animals if any are  living in there . Get after those  land lords and get it done  now.

        I Can’t Believe That people Voted to Bust the Cap On School taxes ! You have about 70% senior citizens in the east meadow school district..20% YOUNG Family’s AND ABOUT 10&% renters why should people vote for a raise in taxes for full time Kindergarten ? Maybe you have   4 grade schools in East  Meadow..what we are talking about is about 25 kindergartners per class..100 students in Kindergarten and everyone  hands down votes for busting the cap for a around $300 raise in taxes per year, I just don’t get it ..do you ?

   Don’t Let the School Districts Bust the Cap , A little busting the cap here  Little bust there before you know it , your paying through the nose..You want all day Kindergarten? pay for it yourself ,out of your own pocket ..enough is enough ..L.I. will become a ghost town  a 3rd world county of the very rich and very poor. stop this by voting NO..Take away the superintendents outrageous salary and  that of his cohorts

Why should our area   stations go off the air in evening hours for some southern yokel  Hillbilly station to  broadcast all across the east coast at night ? Let the FCC know how we fell about our local N.y. area AM  stations .

1. All desk duty police jobs replaced by lower  payed civilian workers

2. Police who respond to motor  vehicle accidents should be replaced by lower payed EMT workers

3. N.Y. State Troopers should replace Nassau county police on all state roads and streets.

4 . Top brass at Police Dept.  salaries & pensions should be cut for newly incoming  top cop brass, to much tax dollars are spent here

                         This will not effect Police protection of our County but save millions in tax dollars spent

        On Westchester Ave  in The bronx, right before the GW Bridge Under the overpass garbage is spuned all of the place by motorists in bumper to bumper traffic .New york city Sanitation  Dept. Clean It up! This is not from just 1 day of littering but months of littering,and this under bridge hasn’t seen a sanitation man in years. I personally witnessed this mess on Friday.An example of your tax dollars not at work !

       If this happens , We  believe its only A  Money grab  who’s fooling who?If you can’t balance the budget don’t take it out on the motorist, How many pedestrians were injured or killed by schools by motorists over the last 50 years/ None We would venture to say. So we suggest if this occurs before or after the elections vote each and every office holder  out of office  both the legislators and the executive branch office holders..they are totally unresponsive to the citizens of this county .  Nassau County residents are the highest taxed in in the nation ,the highest Utility”s in the nation,  highest gasoline prices in the nation ..enough is enough vote them all out of office if speed camera”s are reinstated .period !

    Say no to double dipping .local government is not a cash cow for politicians to retire  then secure another local government job in the same locality..outrageous to say the least.Suffolk Comptroller Joseph Sawicki is slated to become  county treasurer  as well as  Angie Carpenter may do the same  & double dip…  below is a story from Newsday….you decide is it right ? Correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t Joesph Mondelo then Town of Hempstead supervisor retired & went on to head OTB ?As well as his successor Peterson ? correct me if wrong. this  practice has to end .

    Nassau county lawmakers said that they will repeal speed cameras now ..My take is that once they are reelected they will reinstate them once again   thou I an not privy to any actual going on,. on this matter none the less this is my personal take. make politicians sign a waver promising not to reinstate cameras once reelected.  lawmakers have been reluctant to tell exactly how much revenue they made on these cameras   so far , From what We gather all or most of the money goes for civil servants raises.What  do you think ?
